YBC Community mosque xinstruction the true aikin Allah-----Umar Geidam

YBC quarters is a community that came to existence after the creation of Yobe in August 1991, establishment of the state owned Radio and subsequently the owner occupied policy of the Yobe state government which transferred the ownership of the estate to the occupants. Now that the population is fast growing, there is the need to have a befitting masjid that will accommodate the Muslim faithfuls residing in the quarters. Work on the mosque started about two years ago but has now stopped at lintel level which is approximately 25% completion stage.  To realise their foal of completing the mosque, YBC community is soliciting for donation from Muslim brothers and sisters towards this import an cause.

Covid-19: the other side of the pandemic

Governments at all levels have been forced by the corona virus pandemic to close their schools as part of measures to safeguard the lives of the citizens. When the pronouncement was made many have assumed that it was going to be for a specified time. However today even the students and pupils at the basic, senior secondary and tertiary levels have now become fed up with over stay at home doing nothing. Thanks to the initiative by the Yobe state government to introduce the virtual school via radio Yobe. It was meant to close the gap created by the school closure. On the other side of the issue the covid-19 phenomenon has made some children especially the grown up ones to be on their toes to strive hard and make ends meet.
